Objectives of the Position
- Strategic partner in leading the Mobility function in Asia Pacific
- Drive the overall management on international assignment for the region Asia Pacific
- Lead a team of mobility managers, experts, specialists, and analysts to ensure professional delivery of services across Asia Pacific in compliance with internal policies as well as regulations on immigration and taxation and ensure smooth movement of talents across regions or countries within the company.

- Act as OD main point of contact
- Responsible for the operation management of end-to-end HR services delivery for countries in scope, covering delegations, permanent transfers and international local hires
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on mobility projects such as service scope expansion, review on service level agreements and service quality enhancement initiatives.
- Responsible for the operation management of end-to-end external (vendor) and internal (inter-company) billing for Asia Pacific
Key Activities
Policy Development and Implementation
- Act as the representative of Asia Pacific, contribute to global strategy and development of policies, programs, processes and tools for mobility
- Manage the implementation of global mobility policies and programs in Asia Pacific
- Keep up with market trends and legislative changes, analyse and interpret their impact on international assignee and address the issues timely with stakeholders in alignment with Global Mobility
- Constantly identify and assess development, simplification and enhancement opportunities in Asia Pacific in close collaboration with Global Transfer Steering and COH to ensure company’s competitiveness and value proposition
Vendor Management
- Manage and optimize value from external vendors such as the tax, immigration and relocation service providers, who provide supporting services to the company and transferees
- Monitor the service of external vendors and ensure high quality relocation services are delivered timely in line with the regional and/or global Service Level Agreements
Team Leadership
- Lead regional mobility team in partnership with Mobility Manager to guide local mobility professionals to ensure professional delivery of services in Asia Pacific
- Support and coach team members on complex case management and foster best practices within the team and among the mobility community
Operational Excellence
- Work closely with Global Mobility to review and streamline existing processes
- Drive and implement operational excellence within the team
- Monitor the performance of service delivery and provide timely feedback and guidance to the team whenever possible
Stakeholder Management
- Act as OD main point of contact
- Ensure effective communications with stakeholders including international assignee population, HR in countries, Global Mobility and business/functional unit representatives
- Anticipate and resolve any issues and/or concerns raised by managers and assignees on policies
Compliance
- Ensure regional compliance (in partnership with legal, tax, local HR and other corporate functions) for international assignment matters including employment, immigration and tax legislation as well as HR policies and processes
- Ensure quality assurance on processes and documentation are per audit requirements.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Working Experience
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in Global Mobility or Human Resources with exposure to multiple countries in Asia Pacific, and 5 years of leadership experience
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge and experience in international mobility management, experience in both corporate in-house and external mobility or tax firm related positions preferred. Knowledge and experience working with tax, legal, compensation and benefits issues
- Stakeholder management experience with the strong ability to manage complexity and maintain working relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with colleagues across cultures and regions
- Experience working with senior management and the ability to operate and influence in a matrix environment
- Strong customer focus with drive to deliver an excellent employee experience at all times
- Demonstrated people management skills, ability to lead and develop diverse teams. High self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to drive change, particularly in the areas of new policy/program implementation and operational excellence project.
