Job summary

Standard Chartered in Malaysia seeks a Manager, Management Information and Forecast to deliver high‑quality internal and external risk reporting and analytics for senior management decision making. The role covers end‑to‑end MIS, Basel metrics, stress testing, ICAAP and risk appetite monitoring to optimise capital and ROTE.

The role drives automation of BAU reporting, enhances data quality, and develops new MIS datasets and analytical tools using SAS, Python, SQL and QlikView.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking risk analytics, MIS or forecasting roles.
• Strong knowledge of Basel, stress testing and ICAAP concepts.
• Experience with risk reporting and data quality initiatives.
• Familiarity with IFRS 9 and ECL concepts.
• Ability to collaborate with risk, finance, regulatory teams.
• Strong project management and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance MIS and analytics to support proactive portfolio management, ensuring robust data quality and integrity of statistics and reporting.
• Support senior management in reviewing portfolio performance with timely, accurate data and value‑added analysis.
• Leverage SAS and QlikView; explore new tools to increase analytical throughput and automation.
• Manage, review and control statistical data for collections, customer insights, policies and Group reporting.
• Perform periodic stress testing, ICAAP and risk appetite exercises to maintain portfolio risk within approved appetite.
• Integrate Basel metrics and capital optimisation into credit decision-making and portfolio management.
• Ensure accurate computation of Basel parameters and enhance Basel metrics use in monitoring.
• Monitor credit scorecards and support Group Risk Measurement Assurance in scoring/basel models.
• Continuously assess dataset adequacy and implement enhancements.
• Provide analytics to identify and troubleshoot significant credit risk areas.
• Develop new MIS datasets and lead MIS automation initiatives.
• Provide training on SAS, Python and MIS/analytics tools.
