Job summary

Aries Resources Enterprise Sdn Bhd in Sabah is seeking an experienced drill rig operator to run surface or underground rigs for blasting, production, or exploration. You will set up and position the machine on drill pads according to layout plans and ensure safe, efficient operation.

You will log depths and angles, coordinate with geologists and supervisors, perform routine maintenance, and follow strict safety rules in harsh outdoor or underground environments.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years experience in drilling in mining industry.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, rotary, or diamond drilling machinery.
• Valid high-risk work licenses, heavy vehicle tickets, or safety certifications as required by local mining laws.
• Ability to work long shifts in harsh outdoor or underground environments.

Responsibilities

• Rig Operation: Run surface or underground drill rigs to make precise blast, production, or exploration holes.
• Site Setup: Position, stabilize, and level the machine on drill pads following exact layout plans.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform safety checks, refuel, lubricate components, and change worn bits or rods.
• Data Logging: Record depths, angles, and shift performance logs for geologists and supervisors.
• Safety & Teamwork: Follow strict safety rules and coordinate with blast crews and mechanics.
