Job summary

Teleflex, a global medical technology leader, invites a Senior Microbiology Lab Supervisor to lead a team of lab analysts in environmental monitoring and bioburden testing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensure cGMP compliance, data integrity, and right‑first‑time testing while maintaining calibrated equipment and safe processes.

You will develop staff, plan workload and capacity, validate methods, and coordinate cross‑functional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years of microbiology laboratory experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or related field.
• Experience in laboratory management and supervision.
• Laboratory testing experience in microbiological methods (bioburden, environmental monitoring).
• Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of lab analysts to execute testing for environmental monitoring and bioburden.
• Plan and manage laboratory workload, testing priorities, capacity, staffing, and resources.
• Develop and support validation strategies for microbiology test methods.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated, and compliant with safety standards.
• Lead investigations, CAPA activities, and documentation of testing results.
• Prepare, review, and approve microbiology reports and investigations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project support and risk assessment.
