A leading diagnostic laboratory provider in Petaling Jaya seeks a Senior Medical Lab Scientist specializing in Microbiology. The ideal candidate will oversee lab procedures, perform various tests, and ensure quality control. A degree in Biomedical Science or related field, along with 3-5 years of experience and the ability to work shifts, is required. This role offers an opportunity to work in a leading lab with a significant impact on patient care.
Serve as a point of guidance to junior technologists/scientists for clinical laboratory procedures and test guidelines.
Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests.
Perform quality control on test results, ensuring validity and accuracy.
Perform calibration and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure adherence to established standards of accuracy.
Perform job-related duties as assigned by the Head of Department of Microbiology
Key Requirements:
Degree (Medical Lab Scientist) in Biomedical Science, Microbiology or equivalent science courses.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a Microbiology department
Experience in a supervisory position will be an added advantage.
Able to work on rotational shift.
