Job description

Are you based in Malaysia? Geeking the media world in the advertising agency in the Malaysia market for three plus years now? Aspiring but with a can-do attitude? Do you want to geek out on the world of media and creative advertising agency? If yes, we could be meant to be — so keep reading! We are looking for Senior Media Planner!

Here’s where you come in.
  1. Place campaigns within paid social platforms and manage the ongoing real-time optimization of live media to ensure client goals are met and/or exceeded.
  2. Assist with the monitoring and reporting of social listening, including query and keyword cleaning.
  3. Collaborate with the team on upcoming campaigns to determine the best platforms, target audience, and creative strategies to develop media plans.
  4. Monitor campaigns for performance, ensure campaigns are pacing accordingly, manage spend, troubleshoot campaigns, create insights about performance, make updates, and flag potential issues to management.
  5. Create and present client-facing campaign reports, including pacing reports, campaign build, ad-hoc analysis, and high-touch optimizations to show relevant metrics and insights, and make recommendations to optimize performance.
  6. Manage platform relationships regularly via Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Google, etc.
  7. Oversee Media Analysts' bandwidth, assisting in training and development of new and existing Media Analysts.
  8. Ensure brand safety guidelines are followed and prevent fraudulent digital impressions.
  9. Manage and account for the utility and quality of standard reports.
  10. Ensure platform best practices are met, and new functionalities are vetted and utilized where appropriate.
  11. Facilitate and plan direct buy campaigns with digital publishers.
  12. Analyze and generate cross-platform reports while monitoring direct buy campaigns for performance.
  13. Summarize media spends and handle billing.
  14. Negotiate media costs with partners.
  15. Create partner IOs and collaborate with legal.

  1. 3+ years of online and offline planning and buying experience from a media advertising agency.
  2. Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and macros.
  3. Adept at working through frequent changes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  4. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  5. A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Diverse communicator to all levels within the organization.
