Job summary

MODEC Kuala Lumpur engineering hub seeks a Senior Group Lead, Mechanical Engineering, to lead high-impact offshore FPSO projects from FEED through execution. You will set technical vision, mentor a talented group, and deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions at pace.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
Minimum 20 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in the Oil & Gas sector; offshore/FPSO experience strongly preferred.
Proven general management capability, including people leadership and resource management.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and selection of specialty static and packaged equipment through FEED and detailed engineering phases for FPSO projects.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and designers to ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
Ensure compliance with ASME Sec VIII Div-1/Div-2, EN 13445, API standards, and client specifications across project deliverables.
Coordinate resources and manage internal and vendor interfaces to support project execution and continuous improvement.
