Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee the mechanical technical function for data centre projects from design through construction, testing and commissioning. You will review mechanical designs, provide technical direction to the Operations team, and coordinate with consultants, clients and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years' experience in HVAC, fire protection

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10–15 years of Mechanical Engineering and construction experience.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, fire protection and plumbing systems.
Strong design review and technical coordination experience.
Proven ability to lead technical and operations teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the Mechanical technical function for data centre projects from design through construction, testing and commissioning.
Review mechanical designs, technical submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Lead coordination with consultants, clients, subcontractors and other disciplines.
Provide technical direction and lead the Mechanical Operations team and resolve design/construction issues.
Lead mechanical testing, commissioning and handover activities.
