Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Implementation professional to drive early design of Self Bag Drop systems for airports worldwide. You will survey sites, define requirements and shape deployment approaches that integrate with existing baggage handling, electrical, safety and structural solutions.

You will lead cross-functional validation, sign-off, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, project, product, installation and quality assurance teams to deliver reliable,

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, including conveyors and electronic control systems.
• Customer-facing experience, with confidence to engage airports and build trusted relationships.
• Hands-on multidisciplinary mindset across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and compliance domains.
• Willingness to travel to customer airports worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Drive early functional design for the Self Bag Drop product from site surveys to supplier engagement.
• Visit airports to assess spaces, gather requirements, and recommend deployment/adaptation.
• Ensure mechanical and electrical designs integrate with existing baggage handling, safety and structural solutions.
• Oversee solution validation and sign-off before hand-over to Manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project, Product, Installation and QA teams to deliver cost-effective, compliant products.
