A leading global manufacturing company seeks a Senior Material Planner for an immediate contract role in Johor, Malaysia. The successful candidate will manage complex supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements. Ideal applicants will have extensive experience in material planning and purchasing within a fast-paced environment, along with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
Interfacing with the Business Office, Production, Procurement, Planning, and customers to compile, develop, validate, and communicate production/shipment plans that align with overall business goals.
Participating in Master Planning reviews and procurement actions stemming from the MRP process.
Coordinating with planning on customer requirements and changes to assess costs and feasibility.
Ensuring alternate source capability to maintain supply continuity and verifying support for customer costs.
Resolving issues with customers and internal teams, and managing customer relationships from a Supply Chain perspective.
Obtaining and disseminating customer Supply Chain Management (SCM) feedback to the team, championing improvements, and communicating Clear To Build (CTB)/Available-to-Order (AOS) action plans.
Managing AOS and CTB.
The ideal candidate will possess:
An in-depth understanding of all aspects of the global supply chain, Celestica's strategic policies and objectives, and its suppliers and customers.
A good understanding of specific customers' businesses, organizations, products, and processes.
An understanding of the Engineering Change Note (ECN) process and related actions.
Extensive ability to utilize computer systems and applications to gather and compile information into a customer-presentable format.
The ability to effectively communicate all SCM-related activities to customers and internal teams.
The ability to apply analysis and judgment to assess performance against key measures and determine priorities.
Demonstrated ability to interface cross-functionally with Buyers, Planners, and the Operations team.
Experience with Clear To Build (CTB) materials supply simulation and scenario studies.
Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
Knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response is an advantage.
Typical Experience & Education
Six to eight years of relevant experience in material planning and purchasing.
Experience from a contract manufacturer environment is an advantage.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, will be considered.
Can commit to a 3-6 month contract
