An exciting opportunity awaits an accomplished Senior Marketing Manager to lead brand and trade marketing initiatives for a high-performing FMCG company. This is a confidential search for a strategic leader ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. (This role is responsible for the Singapore market, however, based in Malaysia).
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand & Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute annual brand plans across assigned categories.
- Lead 360° marketing strategies inclusive of communication, media, trials, trade marketing, and CRM.
- Partner closely with sales (online & offline) to deliver aligned business objectives.
- Monitor and report marketing performance against KPIs and ROI metrics.
- Uphold brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints.
2. Consumer, Market & Competitor Insights
- Lead analysis of category trends, consumer behavior, and market data.
- Identify actionable insights to optimize brand performance.
- Drive regular competitive analysis to guide proactive strategic decisions.
3. Agency & Partner Management
- Oversee relationships with creative, media, PR, and promotional agencies.
- Align KPIs with agency deliverables and conduct periodic performance reviews.
- Support agency pitches and vendor selection as required.
4. Budget & Performance Management
- Govern brand P&L and marketing budget allocation.
- Continuously optimize spend efficiency while achieving brand objectives.
5. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing team.
- Foster collaboration across internal teams including sales, trade, digital, and e-commerce.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Define clear KPIs and drive process enhancements across the marketing function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of marketing experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record in brand development, consumer marketing, and trade marketing.
- Experience in local marketing for the Singapore market preferred.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, shopper marketing, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopee, Lazada).
- Effective communicator and team leader with a collaborative mindset.
- Skilled in data analysis, insights generation, and marketing strategy development.
- Comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments and influencing decisions at senior levels.
