Job summary

IOI OLEOCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES BERHAD in Prai, Penang, seeks a product marketing professional to bridge Sales & Marketing, R&D, production and customer needs to drive business growth.

You will lead product life cycle from concept to launch, create technical presentations, support launches, analyse market trends and develop campaigns for healthcare professionals and customers.

Strong communication in English is required; 3–4 years in product management or chemicals marketing; degree in related field.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of product management/chemicals marketing/ project management.
• A degree in marketing, mass communication, chemical engineering or food science.
• Strong chemical/food science background.
• Proficient in English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Sales & Marketing, R&D, production and customer needs to drive business growth.
• Coordinate technical support, product guidance, and demonstrations; promote products and support launches.
• Identify business opportunities through market trend analysis and competitive benchmarking.
• Lead full product development life cycle from concept to launch, including packaging and post-launch reviews.
• Prepare quotations, sales forecasts, customer records and market reports; ensure regulatory compliance.

Job description

This role bridges the gap between Sales & Marketing, R&D, production and customer needs in driving business growth by positioning

products as preferred solution for the business.Responsibilities include providing technical support, product and application guidance. The incumbents are to coordinate the relay of information to all relevant parties in order that the product is ready from concept to final product. This position also involves collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to promote the company's products, including creating technical presentations, product demonstration, participating in industry events, and supporting product/project launches.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional who is passionate about products innovation, with a strong understanding of consumer needs, market trends, commercial excellence including using different types of social media platforms to gain exposure to the whole market and end-to-end product development.

Market & Trend Analysis:Identify business opportunities through research / deep analysis of market trends, competitor benchmarking, and consumer insights / desires.

Strategic brand and portfolio management: Develop impactful marketing campaigns and promotional strategies for healthcare professionals & customers.

Supplier Relations: Work with procurement to evaluate and manage suppliers while identifying new partners to enhance product quality, cost-efficiency and innovation.

Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams – Sales & Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Production and Quality Assurance to ensure timely, cost-effective and successful product development.Product Life cycle management: Lead the full development process of new products including packaging, launch planning and post-launch performance review.

Documentation & reporting: Prepare and maintain quotations, sales forecasts, customer records and market competitive reports.

Product Compliance: Work with QA and QC with company policies, trading procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

3-4 years of product management/chemicals marketing/ project management.

A degree in marketing, mass communication, chemical engineering or food science

Strong chemical/food science related background.

Proficient in English, proficient in other languages is a plu

Possess a strong analytical mind capable of planning marketing strategies, problem-solving and leading the speciality business and working independentl.
