Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd. is seeking a Principal Operations Specialist to oversee safe, efficient, and cost-effective daily Marine base operations in support of large EPCIC Pipelay and SURF projects. You will manage vessel logistics, import/export activities, crew movements and compliance with local regulations.

The role is planned to be based in Brunei for up to 12 months with possible extension, reporting to the Project Management Team in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in oil and gas marine/offshore logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Brunei regulatory authorities and marine operations.
• Experience with vessel import/export, crew immigration and logistics.
• Knowledge of customs clearance and international shipping docs.
• Experience with budgets, contractors and service providers.
• Strong leadership and people management.
• Excellent communication with project teams and regulators.
• Experience in crew and personnel logistics.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily Marine base operations.
• Coordinate with port authorities and shipping agents for import/export.
• Coordinate vessel arrivals, berthing with PMT and Masters.
• Ensure fuel and water provisioning for vessels.
• Promote and lead safety culture across Marine Base and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental regulations.
• Manage equipment inventory and maintenance prior to dispatch.
• Manage budgets and identify savings opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and authorities.
