A prominent Mechathronic Manufacturer provider is seeking an experienced Senior Manager Purchasing to join their team in the Klang Valley area. With a goal to become the market leader, the company has consistently innovated and grown. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a skilled Senior Manager Purchasing to strengthen their team.

Job Description

• Supervise and guide the daily operations of the buying team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
• Set expectations, monitor progress through KPIs, and conduct annual performance appraisals.
• Act as the main point of contact for resolving supplier or delivery-related escalations.
• Strengthen communication and coordination with internal teams like category buyers and material planners.
• Develop and enhance purchasing processes to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment aligned with quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering; certifications in procurement or supply chain are a plus.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in operational procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Solid knowledge of global supply markets, including precision machining, mechatronics, raw materials, and surface treatments.
• Experienced with MRP systems, project coordination, and demand planning.
• Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) and well-versed in procurement best practices.
• Strong in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract handling.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and accurate in managing orders, inventory, and documentation.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a team effectively while meeting deadlines.
