Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering engineering hours, prototype development, and final system implementation.
- Interpret specifications and requests from stakeholders and convert them into clear and actionable project requirements.
- Lead activities such as DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), risk assessments, and brainstorming sessions for the development of new systems.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate project tasks in collaboration with task managers and engineers to ensure timely delivery within budget and in compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee the procurement and management of development materials, tools, and test equipment.
- Ensure complete verification and validation of the system, including proper documentation, training, and handover to operations and field service teams.
- Effectively communicate project updates, progress, and key information to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior management and project requestors to ensure adequate resourcing, provide status updates, and address technical challenges.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned, based on project needs or management direction.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Senior Manager - Project Engineering' should have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and plan tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using statistical and quality tools such as DFMEA, Design of Experiments (DOE), and risk assessment methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor equipment processes.
- Strong dedication to continuous learning, professional development, and process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Possesses diplomacy, patience, and active listening skills to facilitate productive interactions.
- Creative and innovative thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for supplier or customer visits, both locally and internationally.
