Job Description

Lead procurement governance, risk management, and control initiatives specific to the Powertrain category, ensuring full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance across engine, transmission, and related systems.

Negotiate and manage high-value contracts with key suppliers, establishing long-term, value-driven partnerships to support product lifecycle requirements and innovation goals.

Implement procurement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline sourcing processes and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams to align procurement strategies with technical specifications, new product development, and cost reduction targets.

Support localization strategies and sustainability objectives by identifying and onboarding competitive local suppliers without compromising quality or performance.

Contribute to the achievement of business objectives by proactively managing supplier risks, market trends, and global sourcing opportunities.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Minimum 10 years of procurement experience within the automotive industry, preferably with direct exposure to Powertrain components and systems.

Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and category management.

Strong understanding of cost structures, financial analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO) models.

Technical proficiency in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

Skilled in project management fundamentals, cross-functional teamwork, and supplier development.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities supported by data-driven insights and design thinking principles.

Highly cost-conscious, with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for operational excellence.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
