The People and Culture Senior Manager will be responsible for partnering with business leaders to develop and execute People and Culture (P&C) strategies that align with our organizational goals in Malaysia. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team in Malaysia, providing insights and solutions on talent management, organizational design, employee relations, and other P&C functions. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, APAC and working closely with the regional and global P&C teams.

Essential Job Functions

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, understanding their goals and challenges, and provide P&C solutions to drive business performance.
  • Develop and implement P&C strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and providing recommendations.
  • Provide guidance and support on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Work with global teams on mandates to lead talent management processes, including performance management, succession planning, and career development.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture and promote employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all local labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture teams across APAC to drive regional P&C initiatives and share best practices.
  • Any other duties as assigned, when necessary, due to business change

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or business partner role.
  • Experience in the tech or data centers industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations in Malaysia and APAC.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
