Responsibilities

1. Handle independently for typical types and sizes of projects comprising Mechanical Building Services, Sewerage Lifting Pumping Station, Water Pumping Station, Drainage Pumping System, and all infrastructure related pump station as assigned by HOD/ GM of Division.
2. Lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking multi-disciplinary projects.
3. Prepare feasibility study, design brief, schematic design, and mechanical plant room and shaft sizing.
4. Prepare sketch drawings with sufficient details to enable draftsperson to produce satisfactory detailed drawings as required for tender, construction or other purposes.
5. Prepare Tender Document comprising specifications, bill of quantities and schedules.
6. Prepare Tender Evaluation Report with recommendation to Client on acceptance of tender.
7. Assist Client in the selection of appropriate method of contract procurement.
8. Contract administration including review and comment on the contractor’s submission of method statements, materials, equipment, inspection, testing procedures and test results.
9. Build and maintain good relationship with Client.
10. Prepare consultancy Expression of Interest and Consultancy Proposal.
11. Carry out management and administration functions within division as directed.
12. Carry out management and administration activities within company as directed.
13. Review Subordinates’ and peers’ output and provide guidance to Subordinates.
14. Act as mentor to Subordinates.
15. Conduct on-the-job training for subordinates.
16. Develop capabilities in specialist/niche field of consultancy services undertaken by Division as directed.
17. Prepare cost estimates.
18. Attend meetings and coordinate with all other internal and external design team members.
19. Liaise with relevant Authorities for submission and approval of all drawings and documents.
20. Carry out site supervision as necessary to ensure works are installed in accordance with contract documentation and good engineering practice.
21. Involve in company’s activities including corporate social responsibility activities.
22. To carry out all tasks related to Minconsult’s operation as directed.

Requirements

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM).
2. Registered with BEM as a Professional Engineer.
3. Minimum 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
4. Able to work independently for typical types and sizes of projects comprising Mechanical Building Services, Sewerage Lifting Pumping Station, Water Pumping Station, Drainage Pumping System, and all infrastructure related pump station.
5. Able to lead a team of engineers and other staff in undertaking multi-disciplinary projects.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet timelines.
7. Good inter-personal skills and outcome driven. A good team player.
8. Good command of written and spoken English. Able to write and speak Bahasa Malaysia.
