Leading (with supervision of the Department Head) the drafting, negotiating, and finalising of certain agreements and legal documents related to the Company’s business activities and commercial engagements.

Leading (with supervision of the Department Head) the reviewing, commenting, and finalising of agreements, documents, and other commercial papers relevant to the Company’s business.

Assisting the Department Head in providing accurate and timely legal advice and support to various business units by coordinating with other Department Heads.

Assisting the Department Head in formulating or amending policies and procedures for the Department or the Company.

Assisting the Department Head in developing standard legal forms, templates, and documents for the Company or updating existing ones.

Assisting in the annual evaluation of external solicitors.

Supervising, coaching, and mentoring subordinates.

General obligations:

Identifying risks, exposures, breaches, or non-compliance under applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and proposing mitigation plans.

Managing the filing and safekeeping of legal documents, ensuring they are well-organized and up-to-date.

Liaising with external solicitors when necessary while minimizing external legal expenses.

Monitoring litigation cases and coordinating with external solicitors.

Maintaining confidentiality of agreements and documents through proper record-keeping.

Taking instructions from and assisting the Department Head to ensure smooth department operations.

Job Requirements:

Possession of a Bachelor's in Law (LLB) from a reputable university, with commendable academic performance.

Admission to the Malaysian Bar, with some years of practice preferred.

Over 10 years of post-qualification experience in private practice (corporate, commercial, litigation, preferably with aviation exposure), in-house, or both.
