About the Role

Wasco AgroTech Sdn Bhd (Formerly known as PMT Industries Sdn Bhd) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager / Manager Finance to join our dynamic team in our Shah Alam, Selangor office. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial accounting and reporting functions.

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership Role

Oversee and ensure the smooth operations of the Finance Department and its support of business operations.

Set departmental goals and objectives and design frameworks to achieve them.

Prepare and/or review the group’s consoalidated accounts.

Conduct analytical reviews of the consolidated accounts and report findings to the Group Head of Finance.

Financial Accounting and Reporting

Lead and guide the Finance Department to ensure timely month-end closings.

Supervise and conduct analytical reviews of the financial performance of each business segment, branch, and subsidiary to ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Costing and Inventory Management

Support the Management and Project/Sales Departments with project costing and monitoring.

Conduct and report on annual and semi-annual physical stock counts, including variance analysis.

Cash Flow Management

Manage and forecast group and company cash flows.

Liaise with Group Treasury and financial institutions to maintain strong relationships and ensure efficient utilization of banking facilities.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Drive and supervise the annual budget and forecasting process in collaboration with departments, branches, and subsidiaries.

Consolidate the group’s annual budget, including long-term cash flow planning and rolling forecasts.

Tax Matters

Oversee tax planning and compliance, including timely tax filings with the IRB and/or Customs.

Prepare transfer pricing documentation and manage other tax-related compliance matters.

Internal Control

Develop and implement effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Monitor internal control systems and continuously enhance management reporting, accounting policies, and procedures.

Corporate Finance

Support corporate exercises by preparing financial models and assisting in due diligence processes.

Lead risk management reviews and updates in collaboration with the CEO and/or Group Head of Finance.

Audit Coordination

Liaise with Group Internal Auditors on internal audit matters and report to Head Office Finance.

Coordinate with external auditors to ensure statutory accounts comply with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.

Other Duties

Handle any other ad-hoc tasks as required by Management or Head Office Finance.

What We're Looking For

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)

4 - 7 years of experience in a senior finance/accounting role

Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
