A leading international bank in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior Manager, License Management, responsible for overseeing software license procurement and compliance. The ideal candidate will manage software asset management programs, track licenses across the organization, and optimize usage to drive cost savings. Strong analytical skills and experience with licensing agreements are essential.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the procurement, tracking and maintain the accuracy of the inventory system which will help to ensure the compliance and optimise the usage of the license software within the organization. It involves ensuring that the organization adheres to licensing agreements, optimizes license usage, and avoids legal or financial risks associated with non-compliance.
Strategy
• Secure, rationalise and modernise our technology estate and on-demand data environment.
• Strategize architectural design to fit for the future requirements, improve stability and security, and meet regulatory requirements.

Business
• Identify opportunities for cost savings by consolidating licenses or negotiating with vendors. Analyse software usage patterns to ensure licenses are used efficiently and effectively.
• Recommend license adjustments or retirements based on usage and needs.
Processes
• Manage and track software and product licenses across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and vendor terms.
• Monitor and report on license usage, ensuring no unauthorized installations.
• Perform regular audits to verify compliance with software licensing requirements.
• Ensure the procurement of software licenses and renewals are in accordance with Bank's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Evaluate license requirements and recommend purchasing options to optimize costs.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure timely renewals and updates to licenses.

• Stay updated on licensing laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.

For example, Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.
