Job Description

  • Provide legal guidance and support across transactions, projects, and day-to-day business operations, with responsibilities including the negotiation of various contracts such as construction, financing, and supplier/customer agreements.
  • Manage corporate governance, regulatory compliance, licensing matters, and corporate secretarial duties for the group of companies in Malaysia, including liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Lead dispute resolution processes and oversee investigations when necessary.
  • Coordinate and supervise external legal counsel on a broad spectrum of legal matters.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.


The Successful Applicant

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) with a strong academic record / called to the Malaysian Bar with at least 10 years of relevant legal experience, gained either in a law firm or in-house, preferably within the construction sector.
  • In-depth expertise in corporate and commercial law, with a focus on project financing and construction. Experience working with Malaysian regulatory authorities is an added advantage.
  • A solution-driven approach, demonstrating integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and self-sufficient professional, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with colleagues regionally.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English are essential.
  • Willing to travel from time to time / if and when required
