Senior Manager, IT System Support & Infrastructure

1. Participate and contribute to the formulation and implementation of FIMM’s Strategic Planning and Business Plan.

2. Lead, manage, train, motivate and provide guidance to department to ensure efficient and timely delivery of high quality work, tasks and projects.

3. Responsible for the planning of the department’s resources for the annual budget and ensure efficient utilisation of resources within the department.

4. Maintain strong rapport with effective communication and regular engagements with all stakeholders on matters pertaining to FIMM and the industry.

5. Prepare regular reports for General Manager/Chief Executive Officer.

6. Perform all duties and assignments as directed by the General Manager and/or CEO.

B. Specific

1. Ensure the successful implementation of ICT Strategic Plan and support the implementation of relevant application systems used in FIMM.

2. Ensure an efficient ICT operation with reliable support of FIMM’s ICT system and equipment to users for smooth running of the existing systems and productivity is maintained at all times.

3. Build up the capacity of FIMM’s IT team that are effective and efficient in developing and supporting FIMM’s ICT system and infrastructure.

4. Provide technical expertise to identify, evaluate and develop ICT systems and procedures that are cost effective, secure and able to support FIMM’s business needs as well as industry stakeholders, where relevant.

5. Supervise the handling of data and information processed and generated by the company’s software applications.

6. Ensure that ICT policy and procedures are in place and adhered to by users. Maintain and perform compliance obligation to relevant authority bodies such as Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

7. Act as Head of FIMM’s Security and thus, manage, supervise and maintain the effectiveness of FIMM’s overall ICT security related matters.

8. Responsible for managing overall procurement cycle for IT related matters covering planning, purchasing, contract, delivery, payment and where relevant, contract renewal. Responsibility includes presentation and justification of procurement to the General Manager or Chief Executive Officer or Management Procurement Committee and/ or to the Board of Directors for approval. Overall procurement activities to be done in a timely manner to ensure no disruption to the operations of IT services or infrastructure.

9. Collaborate with Senior Manager of IT Project Management, System and Method in relevant ICT Strategic Plan, business continuity framework, disaster recovery, application development and regulatory compliance.

10. Perform any other IT related duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.

Qualification

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent

Minimum 15 years of working experience in ICT industry software development

Minimum eight (8) years of experience in IT system security and UNIX-based operating system (LINUX), build and configuration manager tools, database (Oracle, MS SQL Server and MySQL).

Minimum three (3) years working with Board of Directors and relevant regulators
