Role Purpose:
To strategically lead and grow the Integrity, Governance & Compliance (IGC) function in alignment with the organization’s values and evolving business landscape. This role is critical in building a proactive compliance culture that safeguards corporate integrity, enhances risk management, and drives sustainable performance through collaboration, foresight, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities & Success Outcomes:
1. Strategic Leadership & Innovation
- Champion the development and execution of forward-thinking IGC frameworks and governance structures.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions.
- Proactively introduce innovative practices and digital tools to enhance compliance effectiveness.
2. Compliance Risk Management & Advisory
- Lead integrity and compliance risk assessments, due diligence, and investigations.
- Serve as the trusted advisor for IGC matters across all organizational levels.
- Build preventive and detective controls that are agile and responsive to business needs.
3. Empowering People Through Knowledge
- Design and deliver impactful training and awareness programmed tailored to various audiences.
- Build internal capacity and ownership of compliance responsibilities through coaching and upskilling.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaborative Service
- Act as the focal point between internal leaders, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure continuous consultation and transparent communication on IGC initiatives and outcomes.
5. Governance & Reporting Excellence
- Establish data-driven compliance performance indicators and dashboards.
- Deliver clear, insightful reporting to senior management, enabling informed decision-making.
6. Legal Support & Document Integrity
- Review legal and governance documentation to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Draft and maintain constitutional and compliance documents with precision and integrity.
7. IT Compliance & Information Security
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement policies protecting intellectual property and sensitive data.
- Lead by example in digital compliance and cyber risk awareness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Legally trained and qualified with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, ideally with at least 3 years in a corporate/in-house role.
- In-depth understanding of compliance frameworks across APAC (international exposure preferred).
