Job Summary:
The Senior Manager (HR) for Retail Operations will oversee and support all HR functions for HQ and Store Operations, including general administrative matters for the Store Operations Support and Store Operations departments and their subsidiaries. This role plays a vital part in advancing the company’s vision, mission, and core values. Key responsibilities include strategic HR planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, and compliance. The Senior Manager will ensure that HR initiatives align with and drive the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership:
    Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Provide strategic HR leadership to senior management.
  2. Talent Acquisition and Management:
    Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and career development programs.
  3. Employee Relations and Engagement:
    Promote a positive work environment, address employee concerns, and enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  4. ER/IR Management:
    Assist in developing employee relations strategies, handling conflicts, enforcing policies, providing training, and ensuring legal compliance.
  5. Compensation and Benefits:
    Create competitive compensation strategies, manage salary administration, propose benefits programs, develop incentive programs, and ensure compliance.
  6. Training and Development:
    Identify training needs and promote continuous learning opportunities.
  7. Compliance and Policy Management:
    Ensure compliance with labor laws and develop and update HR policies.
  8. Health and Safety:
    Assist in implementing and managing health and safety programs.
  9. Diversity and Inclusion:
    Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives and uphold equal opportunity employment practices.
  10. Budget Management:
    Assist in developing and managing department budgets, analyzing costs, and generating financial reports.
  11. Any other relevant tasks assigned by management as and when is needed.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of HR experience with strong knowledge of Retail Operations HR Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of ER/IR experience in a Retail environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR Management Systems (HRMS).
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Malay.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record in leading strategic HR initiatives and driving organizational change.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach to coaching and building people.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environments.
