An established industry player seeks a seasoned Civil Engineer to lead Road and Highway design projects. This role encompasses overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from conceptual design to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Overseeing Road/Highway geometric design, road furniture, signages, and pavement, reporting directly to the Technical Director of the Division.
Undertake responsibilities from conceptual design to project completion.
Develop feasibility studies, design concepts, and preliminary engineering designs.
Create detailed engineering designs for Roads/Highways, including specifications, bills of quantities, and schedules.
Conduct design calculations adhering to relevant codes and standards.
Prepare comprehensive Tender Documents, including specifications and bills of quantities.
Provide recommendations to the Client through thorough Tender Evaluation Reports.
Oversee contract administration, including reviewing contractor submissions, preparing Progress Payment Certificates, and addressing variations and contractual disputes.
Cultivate strong client relationships.
Prepare consultancy Expressions of Interest and Proposals.
Contribute to sales and marketing efforts to secure projects.
Prepare cost estimates and actively participate in internal and external design team coordination.
Liaise with relevant Authorities for approvals and submissions.
Conduct site supervision to ensure compliance with contract documentation and engineering best practices.
Engage in company activities, including corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Requirements :
Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM).
Registered Professional Engineer /PEPC with BEM.
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
Able to work independently for typical types and sizes of projects comprising Road / Highway geometric design, road furniture and signages, and pavement.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, outcome-driven, and a collaborative team player.
