Senior Manager, Group Legal, Integrity and Compliance (GLIC)

The Senior Manager, Group Legal, Integrity & Compliance (GLIC) will play a pivotal role in providing legal support to APM Group. This position involves safeguarding the rights and interests of the organization while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Senior Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement policies, manage dispute resolution, and conduct preliminary investigations.

Job Responsibilities:

To support Group Legal, Integrity and Compliance (GLIC) by inter alia providing legal assistance on APM Group related contracts, policies and compliance matters.

To protect and safeguard the rights and interests of APM and its group of companies.

Assist the Head of GLIC in dispute resolution and preliminary investigations.

Review, research, and draft a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and correspondence.

Contribute to the drafting and implementation of company policies and directives.

Collaborate with stakeholders, particularly in the review, drafting, and implementation of policies and procedures.

Provide training to stakeholders as needed.

Travel within Malaysia and internationally for assignments.

Attend hearings, meetings, and other related proceedings in courts and tribunals, both domestically and abroad, as necessary.

Execute additional APM Group-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) (LLB) or an equivalent qualification.

Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or equivalent.

8-10 years of relevant legal experience.

Proficient in corporate, commercial, and/or litigation matters.

Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Excellent communication skills with a solid command of English and Malay (both written and verbal); proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on responsibilities beyond the primary scope of duties.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.

Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian Commercial Laws and Practices.

Experience in policy drafting, implementation, and cross-border matters.

Proven experience in contract negotiations.
