Job Descriptions

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, ensuring entries, reconciliations, and analyses are accurately prepared, reviewed, and approved in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team, driving performance by setting goals and development plans and fostering an environment to achieve those goals through ongoing feedback.
• Lead the continuous enhancement of financial reporting, analysis of balance sheet and income statement fluctuations, and drive strategic initiatives and process improvements.
• Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations, as appropriate; enhance, design, maintain, and review internal controls and corporate policies and procedures.
• Partner with department managers and executives to provide guidance with financial analyses, metrics, and reporting, including close relationships with sales operations and the business team.
• Collaborate with business partners such as legal, IT, and HR on various ad-hoc reporting, sales contract issues, and support requests.
• Partner with external audit firms in managing audit requests to drive timely completion of quarterly reviews, annual audits, and internal control testing.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline and/or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
• Must be a member of MIA or a relevant professional body.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in finance, accounting, and reporting.
• High proficiency with SAP HANA, including proven ability in automating processes within SAP.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
• A motivated self-starter who thrives on taking ownership with limited oversight, has a continuous improvement mindset, and a strong work ethic.
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity, and a passion for learning.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• This role requires on-site work at our vibrant Bangsar South office. Being together in person allows us to stay connected, inspired, and motivated, fostering a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
