Overview
The Semiconductor Capital Equipment team at Celestica is looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineering Program/Project Manager. We\'re seeking an expert to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. In this position, you\'ll be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving production flow, and boosting overall productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary mission will be to enhance our manufacturing operations through strategic initiatives and hands-on improvements.
- Process Optimization & Strategy: You will lead key initiatives to boost efficiency, increase production capacity, and lower costs. This includes developing and implementing
- Lean Manufacturing strategies, Six Sigma methodologies, and modern automation solutions. You will also develop VAVE strategies to hit cost reduction targets.
- Operational Improvement: You will analyze production workflows to pinpoint bottlenecks and spearhead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing yield, reducing defects, and optimizing throughput. Your work will involve proposing and integrating improvements to factory layout, logistics, and material handling.
- Data-Driven Decisions: To guide process enhancements and support decision-making, you will heavily utilize data analytics, simulation tools, and statistical modeling. A key part of your role will be monitoring KPIs and creating action plans to improve cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure the seamless integration of new equipment and process changes. This includes supporting new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring an efficient and scalable manufacturing ramp-up. You will also collaborate with suppliers to improve component reliability, availability, and manufacturability.
- Compliance & Standards: You will ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Your expertise in
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and supply chain optimization will be critical.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of industrial engineering experience within a semiconductor capital equipment or similar high-tech manufacturing setting. Previous work in semiconductor capital equipment companies is a distinct advantage.
Core Methodologies
- Deep knowledge of
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement techniques. Certifications like a Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt are a plus.
- Proven experience with factory layout design, process simulation, and capacity planning. An understanding of cleanroom environments is also beneficial.
Technical Proficiency
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as
- Excel, Minitab, Python, SQL, or Power BI, alongside other industrial engineering software.
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, and
- Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Hands-on experience with MES, ERP, and PLM systems is highly preferred.
