Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Responsible for breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement project to overall company premises.
  • To monitor and provide guideline to electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance and improvement project for all area inside Hartalega premises.
  • To ensure standardization activity during inter-plant implementation.
  • To ensure downtime are minimal and team performing the job efficiently as per guideline in KPI.
  • To work out plan to achieve overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
  • To liaise with other departments/plants for any standardization or critical work execution.
  • To ensure compliance with ISO.
  • To rectify complain from internal and external customers.
  • To always innovate and improve on the process and frequent breakdown and non-user friendly equipment.
  • To prepare budget annually and review every quarterly to make sure the department budget is met.
  • To keep abreast on the latest manufacturing technologies and carry out evaluation on how these technologies can enhance effectiveness of the operations.
  • To liaise with government officer especially during the audit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree/Master in Mechanical/Electrical or any Engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in process manufacturing.
  • Ability to identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
  • Ability in planning and directing the installation, testing, and operation of equipment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Knowledge of operational excellence principles and tools (e.g. Value streams, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
