Job summary

DayOne is seeking a Design Manager for Data Center to lead and oversee data center design projects, ensuring high-quality electrical designs and adherence to client specifications. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to align project goals and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate brings at least 8 years in data center or critical infrastructure design, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; strong English communication is preferred; second language helpful for client interactions.
• Minimum of 8 years of industry experience, with data center or critical infrastructure exposure.
• In-depth knowledge of local codes and standards.
• Experience in managing and coordinating complex projects, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data center design projects with project managers, architects, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical design disciplines to meet standards and client specs.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of designs.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in electrical design and implementation to minimize risks.
• Coordinate with vendors to specify and select suitable electrical equipment.
• Prepare and review design documentation, drawings, and reports with thorough record-keeping.

Job Summary

The DesigncManager for Data Center is responsible for overseeing data center projects and ensuring the successful design and implementation of data center facilities. This role involves close collaboration with project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate designs into overall project plans.

• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to verify the accuracy and reliability of electrical designs and systems.

• Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors and suppliers to specify and select electrical equipment that aligns with design requirements and project needs.
