We are seeking a Senior Manager, Capabilities and Development based in Johor, to lead strategic initiatives that build organizational capabilities, strengthen leadership pipelines, and drive talent development across the company. This role is critical in shaping a future-ready workforce and ensuring alignment with our long-term business goals, especially within a listed company environment.

  • Design and lead organizational capability-building initiatives aligned to strategic business objectives.

  • Develop and drive leadership development, succession planning, and critical skills frameworks across business units.

  • Conduct capability assessments and workforce planning to identify gaps and future skill needs.

  • Build and implement programs that strengthen employee competencies, leadership pipelines, and high-potential talent pools.

  • Oversee learning evaluation strategies to measure program effectiveness and business impact.

  • Manage development budgets and partner with external consultants and institutions as needed.

  • Analyze workforce data, development metrics, and organizational trends to inform strategies and present insights to senior leadership.

  • Act as a coach and advisor to leaders and managers on talent development and capability building initiatives.

  • Promote a culture of continuous development, innovation, and future-ready leadership across the organization.

  • Minimum 5+ years in capability development, talent management, or organizational development roles, with strong stakeholder management and strategic leadership skills.

Must haves:

  • 5+ years in L&D/ performance management related roles.
  • Must have experience working in a listed company, with strong understanding of corporate governance, leadership expectations, and reporting standards.
  • Prior leadership experience , proven track record of leading a team.
