A leading company is seeking a Senior Manager in Business Development to drive high-value transactions and strategic partnerships. Responsibilities include leading negotiations, assessing new opportunities, and executing projects. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in deal-making and strong leadership skills, coupled with an advanced degree. This role offers the chance to influence major business decisions within the company.
1. Deal Structuring & Commercial Negotiation
• Lead the negotiation and finalisation of high-value transactions, including sales, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, demonstrating expertise in structuring, pricing, and closing complex deals.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies to optimise deal structures and maximise business value.
2. Strategy & Business Development
• Identify and assess new business opportunities, including collaborations, acquisitions, disposals, and investments, aligned with the Group’s long-term goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies (MIDA, Invest Malaysia, Invest Johor), financial institutions, investors, and partners to enhance market presence.
• Improve business development tools such as presentations, pitches, and promotional videos.
3. Feasibility Evaluations & Research
• Oversee market research, feasibility studies, and financial analyses to evaluate project ROI, risks, and scenarios.
• Conduct sector research on potential ventures, targets, and asset classes.
4. Project Execution & Delivery
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects, conduct due diligence, and manage transactions, ensuring smooth deal closure and success.
Job Requirements
• Advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, negotiations, and deal-making with a proven record of closing high-value deals.
• Strong strategic and business acumen, capable of evaluating opportunities beyond property development.
• Extensive experience in complex deal structuring, financial negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven negotiation skills in high-stakes, multi-stakeholder scenarios.
• Leadership skills to guide teams and projects independently, driving business results.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience across multiple sectors is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the Johor property and industrial market is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Johor as needed (20%-30%).
