PwC Malaysia is seeking a Senior Manager - Assurance based in Kuala Lumpur to lead and manage large external audit engagements, ensuring adherence to GAAS and accounting standards while delivering high-quality financial statement audits.

You will collaborate with multi-level teams and clients, driving process improvements and leveraging analytics, including AI-based audit tools, to enhance insights and outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in assurance/audit.
• CPA license or equivalent recognized CPA/CA in another territory.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written).

As a Senior Manager - Assurance, you will lead and manage client engagements within our Assurance practice, focusing on delivering quality financial statement audits. As a Senior Manager, you will leverage your skills and professional experience to drive project success, providing strategic input and maintaining operational excellence. You will be responsible for building trust with multi-level teams and stakeholders, motivating and coaching teams to solve complex problems, and applying sound judgment in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Leading external audit engagements and managing client relationships effectively
• Guiding teams in the application of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards
• Utilizing analytical thinking and data analysis to enhance audit quality and insights
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients to identify and address financial reporting challenges
• Developing and overseeing the implementation of auditing methodologies and compliance auditing processes
• Promoting the use of innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms in audit processes
• Confirming data integrity, security, and compliance within financial reporting frameworks
• Identifying opportunities for optimizing audit processes and improving financial performance

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Chartered Accountant or equivalent (such as ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ / CPA Australia)
• At least 6 years of experience
• At least one of the following: US Licensed CPA, Malaysian Licensed CPA or CPA/CA Equivalent in another Territory (such as ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ / CPA Australia, etc)
• Oral and written proficiency in English required
