Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Develop and implement financial models and strategies to support the group’s business plans.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into business performance and areas for improvement.
Reporting & Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and other statutory requirements.
Strategic Financial Management:
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
Support M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modelling, and integration planning.
Monitor and manage the group’s capital structure and financing strategies.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee the financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the group’s assets.
Drive process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Tax Function:
Manage the group’s tax compliance, including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
Optimize the group’s tax position through effective tax planning and risk management.
Liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisors to address any tax-related matters.
Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and ensure the group adapts accordingly.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between the finance department and other business units.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive finance experience.
In-depth knowledge of MFRS, Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
