Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for leading Series Technicians by providing support and assistance as needed. This role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure their optimal performance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and addressing equipment failures to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

1. Handover between outgoing and incoming shifts with the Production Team.
2. Perform PM1, sensor verification, checklist, and lubrication routines.
3. Prioritize repairs and setups based on Critical Machine updates (weekly).
4. Address quality issues (IQN, NCR) in collaboration with leaders/supervisors.
5. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement solutions.
6. Follow supervisor/engineer assignments and escalate to engineers if machine downtime exceeds 6 hours, providing detailed information.
7. Monitor machinery and facility systems to detect potential problems and ensure safe, efficient operation.
8. Address incoming material quality issues (NCR).
9. Attend and close SRS when machine repairs are completed.
10. Investigate machine-related issues (IQN/QN/CTP) during shifts.
11. Support machine runners and other team members.
12. Enhance machine runner and supporter capabilities, technical skills, and measurement methods.
13. Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to prevent production impact.
14. Maintain 6S standards for machines, including wiring, covers, safety fixtures, and temporary fixes.
15. Ensure tooling arrangements are in good condition (setup/cutting tools).
16. Support other series for overall performance improvements.
17. Verify machine speed (IE rate).
18. Assist engineers with improvement projects, data analysis, and studies.
19. Collaborate with engineers and PM teams according to schedules when needed.
20. Practice PMB in daily work.
21. Participate in process improvements and initiatives to enhance maintenance practices and equipment performance.

2. Mechanical maintenance experience is necessary.
3. Electrical maintenance experience is an asset.

8. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook; SAP and NX experience are assets.
9. Experience supporting new product/transfer product implementation.
