Job summary

Kyocera AVX Components (Penang) Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned maintenance engineer for our Penang manufacturing site. The role covers planning and executing scheduled maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and repairing equipment to keep production lines running smoothly.

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in manufacturing. Fluency in English or Bahasa is required; Japanese is a bonus.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering or relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the manufacturing line.
Fluent in English or Bahasa; Japanese is a bonus.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of PLC, electrical and mechanical fields preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance.
Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults.
Repair equipment as needed.
Supervise engineering and technical staff.
Lead projects on jig components, fixtures or fittings.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
Create maintenance procedures and SOPs.
Manage stocks of supplies and equipment.
Update KPI related to MTBF/MTBR/OEE and support IATF 16949 audit.
