About the job Senior Low Voltage Engineer

Company Background:
A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular data center solutions, specialize in the data center and power systems industry. With R&D facilities in Shanghai and high-end manufacturing plants in Shanghai and Malaysia, it delivers innovative solutions for hyperscale data center projects globally. The company is located in Johor Bahru, and the actual working location is subject to the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review subcontractor technical proposals and tender documents related to low voltage systems.
  • Complete construction organization designs and specific plans for low voltage systems according to project requirements.
  • Possess basic design capabilities to enhance construction drawings for low voltage systems.
  • Based on drawings and actual site conditions, calculate quantities and prepare bill of quantities, equipment lists, and material lists.
  • Develop detailed engineering progress plans, three-week rolling schedules, and plans for personnel, materials, and equipment arrivals.
  • Identify and manage risks related to low voltage systems (safety, progress, quality, cost, documentation, materials, etc.), and develop proactive risk management plans.
  • Manage on-site low voltage system construction, ensuring that all project goals are met.
  • Serve as the technical liaison for external clients' engineering teams for low voltage systems.
  • Work with the EHS department to ensure safety management for the low voltage systems during construction.
  • Collaborate with the documentation team to ensure proper management of technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with the testing department to meet pre-testing conditions and organize necessary rectifications.
  • Complete the close-out tasks for low voltage systems, including documentation, training, material inventories, and project reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in a construction company, with at least 5 years of experience in data center construction.
  • Experience in at least two data center projects of 30 MW or larger or AIDC projects in the past three years, with at least 20,000+ cabinets delivered in the past five years.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data center construction with third-party Colo providers or construction units.
  • Strong learning ability, high sense of responsibility, and initiative.
  • Experience in overseas data center construction projects (with Colo providers or construction companies) is preferred.
