Job Description

The Senior Logistic Specialist / Logistic Assistant Manager is responsible for executing warehouse operations and logistics activities. This includes setting up procedures and ensuring efficient import and export of goods and equipment.

He/She coordinates deliveries, manages transaction documentation, and ensures the secure handling of goods. Additionally, he/she supports the implementation of improvements within the warehouse operations at the Johor Bahru Plant and provides guidance to China logistics and warehouse management. A hands-on candidate is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 3PL logistics service providers and document business requirements.
• Coordinate logistics and warehouse activities in compliance with regulations.
• Implement operational policies, standards, and procedures for the new department.
• Utilize allocated resources effectively within business activities.
• Enhance the quality of logistics services across SEA and China sites.
• Monitor shipment schedules to meet timelines set by end customers.
• Support the Business Unit in defining local logistics strategies, identifying service capabilities, and addressing gaps.
• Manage global trade services, including product classification such as ECCN and HS Code.
• Review and negotiate contracts with 3PL logistics providers.
• Manage performance and build strong partnerships with 3PLs to support business growth locally and in Europe.
• Maintain knowledge of import/export regulations, customs, and international trade compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of regional experience in logistics, including managing 3PL contracts and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Good team player with the ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese, spoken and written.
