Job description

The Senior Logistic Executive’s primary function is to manage, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments by freight forwarders and couriers to meet delivery terms while complying with trade regulations. This role requires daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries at competitive costs while maintaining service levels.

This position demands strong knowledge of import/export clearance and the ability to engage with stakeholders to drive service performance. The Senior Logistic Executive will supervise a team of logistics officers, supervisors, and material handlers to meet logistics and warehouse KPIs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. General Duties
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders to optimize logistics activities related to quality, cost, delivery lead time, and after-sales service.
  • Ensure timely and accurate information and documentation flow to stakeholders.
  • Review requirement plans and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Perform additional roles as assigned by superiors.
  • Logistics Specific Tasks
    • Negotiate freight rates with forwarders to meet delivery targets.
    • Source potential freight partners for business growth.
    • Coordinate supply solutions during line-down or shortages and communicate action plans.
    • Maintain data integrity within the ERP system.
    • Monitor and evaluate freight forwarders and courier performance scores.
    • Handle ad-hoc logistics issues, driving solutions and improvements.
    • Implement process improvements through stakeholder collaboration.
    • Engage with customs and authorities on trade compliance, documentation, and negotiations.
    • Prepare monthly LMW reports and Form E for ACFTA applications.
    • Promote trade compliance and customs regulatory awareness internally.
    • Classify and interpret Harmonized Schedule Codes for stakeholders.
    • Requirements / Skillset:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or equivalent.
      • At least 2 years of experience in logistics management.
      • Minimum 2 years’ experience with MRP/ERP systems.
      • Extensive knowledge of freight forwarding, trade and customs compliance, and LMW.
      • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
      • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
