Job description

We're Hiring: Senior Logistics Customer Service/Operations Controller!

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Customer Service/Operations Controller to support the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring day-to-day shipments for appointed international customers, acting as a single point of contact, and handling all modes of transport.

What You'll Do:

  1. Receive, book, track, and manage shipments in various modes of transport, primarily sea and air.
  2. Monitor shipments and maintain status and visibility of shipments.
  3. Handle and review all transport-relevant documents correctly and timely.
  4. Liaise with appointed service partners and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  5. Troubleshoot by communicating with all involved parties and available resources to develop corrective action plans, and attend to and resolve incidents and complaints efficiently.
  6. Serve as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication.
  7. Support reviews and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), both internal and external.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in freight forwarding.
  • Proven track record of handling and organizing shipments in one or more modes of transport: Sea, Air, Truck, Rail, or Express.
  • Solid understanding of shipping terms, documentation, and terminology.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Proficiency in common applications, e.g., Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibilities, demonstrating a proactive problem-solving approach.
