Jora Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure in enterprise environments. The role requires strong Linux administration skills and experience with RHEL, NixOS, GUIX and immutable OS environments.

The position is open to Malaysian candidates and expatriates residing in Malaysia, with a 1-year renewable contract and a salary up to RM 12,000 per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on Linux / Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Linux OS administration and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with RHEL / NixOS / GUIX / Immutable OS environments.
• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching (L2).
• Experience with one or more enterprise firewall platforms: Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto.
• Strong understanding of nftables, stateful firewalls, security zoning and network segmentation.
• Good understanding of infrastructure and network-security concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, implement and maintain Linux-based infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Handle Routing & Switching (L2) deployment, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Implement and manage enterprise firewall solutions, including Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point and Palo Alto.
• Administer and support Linux operating systems, including RHEL, NixOS, GUIX and immutable OS environments.
• Configure and manage nftables and stateful firewall policies.
• Implement network security zoning, segmentation and access-control mechanisms.
• Support secure infrastructure deployment and ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking, firewall and security-related issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on deployment and implementation activities.
