SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL (MANAGER/SENIOR MANAGER)

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1. Contract review, negotiation, and documentation
2. Evaluating and assessing legal risks, providing regulatory advice and support
3. Conducting due diligence and liaising with external parties (e.g., external counsel, investment bankers, regulators) as well as internal units to implement and execute transactions

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Competencies:

1. Recognized LL.B, at least Second Class (Upper) Honours
2. Minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience, in a major legal practice or established financial or commercial organization
3. Extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters, capital markets, M&A, treasury/financing, and private equity-related work, including legal documentation preparation/drafting
4. Private practice litigation lawyers with substantive dispute handling experience in relevant areas will also be considered
5. Sound knowledge of companies, securities, and banking law requirements
6. Oil and Gas background will be considered
