We are seeking passionate and qualified academics to join our growing team in Statistics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science and Economics. Please refer to the relevant specialisation below for the key areas of expertise we are seeking.
Area of Specialisations:
1. Statistics or Data Analytics
Statistical Analysis, Statistical Modelling and Mathematical Statistics, including Probability Theory and Statistical Inference.
Applied Statistics and Advanced Statistical Methods, including Multivariate Analysis, Regression Analysis, Time Series Analysis and Experimental Design.
Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics and Data Analytics, including SQL for data querying, database management and analytics.
Statistical Computing, Programming and Data Visualisation, with proficiency in Python and/or R/RStudio and relevant statistical software.
Statistical Software and Reporting, with experience in SPSS, SAS or Stata, including data visualisation and analytical reporting.
2. Actuarial or Economics
Actuarial Science, Actuarial Mathematics and Risk Management, including Insurance, Life Contingencies, Actuarial Modelling, Risk Analysis and Enterprise Risk Management.
Probability Theory, Mathematical Statistics and Statistical Modelling, with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Financial Mathematics, Investment and Financial Risk Management, including Economics and economic/financial principles relevant to actuarial applications.
Quantitative Methods, Data Analysis and Mathematical Modelling, with proficiency in relevant statistical, actuarial and financial software; programming skills in Python and/or R are an added advantage.
Ability to teach Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Economics and related quantitative modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Requirements:
PhD or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Actuarial Mathematics, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics or a related field.
Strong expertise in Statistical Analysis, Statistical Modelling, Probability, Mathematical Statistics and Advanced Statistical Methods, or Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Financial Mathematics, Insurance and Economics.
Proficiency in data analytics, statistical/financial modelling and relevant software, with Python and/or R/RStudio; SQL, SPSS, SAS or Stata are an added advantage.
Ability to teach relevant quantitative modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with strong analytical, research and communication skills.
