ISM in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a data analytics professional to design, develop, and maintain analytical tools and dashboards that support business intelligence and reporting. You will apply statistical techniques to explore, validate, and analyse large datasets for profiling, reporting, and analytics.

The role requires hard work, curiosity, and the ability to translate data findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Formación

• Degree in Actuarial Science or other quantitative disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with interest in data analysis and modelling.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting techniques; SAS/R/Python/SQL/VBA an advantage.

• Apply statistical techniques to explore, validate, and analyse data, including extracting, transforming, and managing large datasets for profiling, reporting, and analytics;
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and data models to support business intelligence and reporting needs;
• Support the development and monitoring of pricing models, ensuring appropriate application and ongoing performance evaluation;
• Conduct research, translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders, including industry benchmarking and analytical support;
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance data governance, quality, consistency, and usability across datasets.

Key Requirements

The skills and abilities required of the candidate are:

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or other quantitative disciplines;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with interest in data analysis and modelling;
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting techniques;
• Experience with tools such as SAS, R, Python, SQL, or VBA is an advantage;
• Good communication skills, with the ability to present and interpret complex information;
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges;
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
• Good stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate data into insights.
