Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (Professional Engineer (IR) – Computer Engineering / Electronic Engineering

With the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, Manipal International University was renamed MILA University in 2023. To establish a leading engineering school in Asia, MILA University is inviting applications for:

Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (Professional Engineer (IR)) – Computer Engineering / Electronic Engineering at the School of Engineering & Computing starting from June 2025 onwards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, enhancement, and quality assurance in the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
• Develop and deliver innovative and excellent teaching, learning and assessment experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Conduct active research, maintaining an active record of high-quality Scopus indexed publication, conference presentations and grants securement.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a research strategy for consistent with the research priorities.
• Contribute to the development of strong collaborations with other universities and with government, industry and/or society to drive research impact and educational excellence.
• Contribute to the management of education, research and/or administration in the school, including coaching, mentorship, leadership and effective performance management.
• Contribute to the administration tasks of the school/department.

Job Requirements

• Attainment of Professional Engineer (IR) in the domain of Computer Engineering / Electronic Engineering certified by Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is essential.
• An undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Computer Engineering /Electronic Engineering is essential.
• Candidate with Master /PhD in Computer Engineering / Electronic Engineering is an added advantage.
• Active with scholarly activities in Scopus indexed peer- reviewed journal publications.
• Familiar with EAC/ MQA documentation and accreditation process.
• Familiar with Outcome Based Education (OBE) requirements.
• Strong knowledge in undergraduate level computer engineering courses.
• Must be able to create new syllabus and teach computer engineering courses with specialization on subjects related to at least one of below:

Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Cyber Security/ Cloud Computing/ Robotics/ Automation/ Computer Organization and Architecture / Embedded System/ Internet of Things

• Familiar with Python, Java, C++ and C programming languages are added advantage.
• Responsible, good work ethics, helpful nature, highly cooperative with teamwork-oriented mindset are required.
• Ability to teach well and care for students’ developments and wellbeing is mandatory.
