Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Faculty of Education)

You will be reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Education. Responsible for planning and delivering teaching, developing learning materials and assessment questions, grading students’ exam scripts, supervising and being involved in research projects and publications. The goal is to recruit and retain students based on your expertise and drive sustainable financial growth through maintaining and upgrading the quality of university courses and programmes.

Expertise/fields needed are:

• Curriculum and Instructional / Pedagogy
• Special Education
• Science / Mathematics Education
• Educational Leadership and Management

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach, develop, and coordinate the delivery of courses via Google Meet.
• Undertake research projects and publish in academic journals in relevant areas.
• Prepare, develop, and upgrade learning materials and assessment questions.
• Ensure relevant courses and programmes comply with MQA regulatory requirements.
• Grade and review assignments, practicum projects, APEL assessments, and final examination scripts.
• Identify and propose qualified external SMEs, tutors, and examiners.
• Supervise, review, assess, and examine students’ research projects and theses.
• Provide academic consultation to students and communicate with external tutors via the MyINSPIRE platform.
• Assist faculty with other university tasks and duties assigned by the Faculty and Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a Doctor of Education (EdD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education.
• Candidates with a Master's Degree and who have passed the doctorate viva will be considered.
• Proven teaching experience as a lecturer, tutor, or facilitator in the education industry or higher education institutions.
• Strong record of teaching adult learners, with familiarity in ODL teaching methods and MQA documentation.
• Ability to manage heavy workloads, projects, and multitask.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, handle uncertainty, and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Energetic, independent, with good organisational skills, teamwork, and creativity in problem-solving.
• High integrity and honesty.
• Proficient in using computer technology and related tools for teaching and communication.
• Willing to conduct online tutorials after hours or on weekends.
