INTI International University & Colleges in Malaysia seeks a lecturer in Aerospace & Aviation Technology to conduct research, supervise postgraduate studies and contribute to curriculum development and industry engagement. To conduct research, scholarly activities and/or consultancy in Aerospace & Aviation Technology, contributing to the University's academic profile, research outputs and industry engagement.
To undertake teaching, academic, management and leadership duties commensurate with the role.
To contribute to the development of high-quality Aerospace & Aviation education, research, industry collaboration and professional practice.
To undertake teaching, postgraduate by research supervision and associated functions including preparation, assessment, moderation and curriculum development in Aerospace & Aviation Technology and related disciplines.
You will be assigned with not more than 140 contact hours per 4-month block. However, the management reserves the right to revise the manner, location and mode of such workload from time to time as deemed necessary. In the event that the workload exceeds 140 contact hours, you will be remunerated accordingly.
To be responsible for the development of learning materials, preparation of schemes of work and maintenance of records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
Work collaboratively with Sales & Marketing to achieve targeted student enrolment, including organising school talks, open days, programme previews, academic counselling and activities related to Aerospace & Aviation programmes.
Develop and maintain professional and industry networks to enhance students' exposure to the aerospace and aviation sector.
Support industry engagement activities, including guest lectures, industry projects, internships, site visits and other relevant initiatives.
To perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
PhD/Doctorate or equivalent professional qualification in Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace & Aviation Technology, Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Avionics, Aviation Management or a closely related academic area, or any other qualifications as required by MQA.
Professional Technologist (Ts.) status in Aerospace & Aviation Technology; or
Graduate Technologist (GT) status in Aerospace & Aviation Technology.
Good command of the English language.
Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems.
Knowledge of software and digital tools relevant to teaching and learning in Aerospace & Aviation.
Knowledge of relevant aerospace, aviation, engineering, simulation, modelling or technical software is an added advantage.
Data analytical skills are an added advantage.
Relevant teaching, research or industry experience in Aerospace & Aviation.
Experience in aerospace/aviation industry collaboration, consultancy or professional projects.
Track record of research publications, grants, consultancy or industry engagement in relevant areas.
