Senior Lead Engineer, Test Development

Summary
Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the development and implementation of technical solutions across multiple domains, participating in project planning and scheduling.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers; recognized as an expert in one or more technical areas.
  • Review, interpret, and negotiate customer requirements and specifications; provide customer feedback.
  • Lead strategic program deployment and coordinate site-wide efforts.
  • Promote industry best practices proactively.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and partners as needed.
  • Create structural or functional test strategies and plans to meet project goals.
  • Develop technical proposals including costed BOM, hours, and schedule estimates.
  • Generate requirements leveraging design specifications and product data with minimal guidance.
  • Manage technical programs for mid to large projects.
  • Establish best practices for test development execution for local and regional teams.
  • Analyze industry trends and develop investment, skill development strategies, and business cases.
  • Develop production test strategies based on product design specifications.
  • Design and develop hardware and software test solutions, system integration, qualification, and installation.
  • Debug tester issues using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies.
  • Execute validation and qualification using statistical and industry methods.
  • Optimize test solutions for manufacturing, focusing on cycle time and yield.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to provide feedback on testability, coverage, diagnostics, reparability, and user experience.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
