Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking an experienced lead engineer to drive the integration of electrical, mechanical, and control systems for modular data center solutions. You will coordinate CAD teams, review SOO docs, and oversee commissioning and FAT activities to ensure seamless factory integration.

The role emphasizes early risk identification, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship of engineers to improve manufacturability and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a lead engineer role, factory operations, or manufacturing of electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Experience managing production work for prefabricated modules, data center equipment, power distribution units, or related industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical, mechanical, controls, and CAD engineering teams to deliver IFC drawing packages.
• Review and validate SOO documents for power, cooling, and controls systems.
• Oversee preparation of commissioning documentation including FAT scripts and test procedures.
• Resolve technical clashes early in cable routing, UPS clearances, and interface gaps.
• Review design packages and ensure production teams understand build requirements.
• Conduct build readiness reviews with production, quality, HSE, and supply chain teams.
• Validate vendor-supplied equipment documentation for interface compliance.
• Allocate engineering resources to meet milestones and throughput targets.
• Identify design, manufacturing, and integration risks early.
• Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve manufacturability.
• Coach engineers to improve design quality and factory integration expertise.
• Foster safety, precision, and accountability across engineering and production.
